Looking ahead, I'm planning lots of Hitchcock on WEEKEND FLICKS. Vertigo's a must. The Lodger, The Birds, Psycho, Rear Window and Frenzy. Especially Rear Window. Also keen on Patrick Hamilton- Rope's terrific. That may be the best one to start off with...
I hope I've been fair. I like 'Dressed to Kill' (1980) very much indeed- especially the brilliant art gallery pick-up bit, a masterclass in editing and direction. Have you seen Bryan Forbes' The Naked Face, starring Roger Moore's quivering eyebrow- as a sort of lobotomised psychiatrist?
Don’t get too excited. It’s not hot- as much as I adore Bryan Forbes’ The Stepford Wives (1975)- most probably his greatest film? Still, Roge is aways amusing, he wears this bizarre sailing jacket in bright yellow and his Chicago apartment is desirable, in a kinda 1980s way.
Absolutely love this, every film here is a dark, sparkly gem!!
Many thanks! 'Dressed to Kill's a cracker, especially the Hitchcock-y art gallery scene with Angie Dickinson. Isn't she great?
She's fabulous, and absolutely agree, Hitchcock esque. One of De Palma's best directions I think.

Huge Hitchcock fan here and this is an outstanding line up!!
Next weekend's Double Bill- watch this space!
Thanks! Kind. On the case!
Love this!
And thanks for reminding me of Still of the Night, I must see that again...

No. but I certainly shall.
And p.s. We MUST do The Stepford Wives (1975) at some point. That's a definite.
